Fate Zero Episode 5 REVIEW

Overpowered b*st*rd!

Poor Berserker being Rammed by ever stupid but likeable Rider

Quasimodo right? seriously 0_0

My Thoughts

This episode is beyond words. It's a season's worth of action what they did in this one episode. The sheer epicness I thought in episode 4 became explosive in this one. I almost cried after watching, but I have to keep my cool and review this episode like a mature adult (sniff*). Ok first, Rider has got to be the the most stupid yet loveable character in this show. Seriously the way he honors the battlefield and the way he helped the other servants, it was touching. This just shows how servants are still people too and not some war machine to follow every command given to them, they have dignity too. So 5 out of the 7 servants faced each other with the other 2 hiding in the shadows and looking at them. Unlike Fate Stay Night, the heroes this time around completely complement each other and none feels unimportant. Gilgamesh was like overpowered, Saber the only girl, Rider the sort of comedic relief and feel good character, Lancer the dashing debonair, Berserker the uhmm berserker (like his power btw where he steals other people's grand phantasms whatever), Assassins the uhmm assassin, and Caster the crazy. I kinda feel like Caster is Quasimodo (correct spelling?) from Hunch back of Notre Dame since they really look alike and the way he had love at first sight with Saber is quite reminiscent of him also. I can imagine him helping her stay alive then try to kidnap her or something. Anyway, the battle sequences were well done as they perfectly mixed magic with sword fighting. Also, I wanna add that this series is like 13 episodes long so thats why the pacing is faster and I find it better overall; story, characters etc. than Fate Stay Night's first 13 episodes. This episode was by far what convinced me that action still has hope (One piece I'm looking at you) without letting the viewer get tired of watching the battle drag on and on. My only qualm well not really that negative but rather something I observed is that they really talk a lot in between battles and if I were the servant I would take that opening as a way to kill the other blabbing servant, but I guess may be its a knight's honor or something to honor long speeches and stuff.

Overall mood while watching: Shed a tear, then wondered where I can get me some hero relics and chicken blood.
