Chihayafuru EPISODE 2 REVIEW

Good hearing is the key

So I can disrupt the cards ,ho ho ho a strategy :3

I commend him for being passionate but come on! practicing throwing cards, that's just crazy

My Thoughts

It's official, I will blog this series. It passed my episode 2 test. First, I just wanna point out that sports anime really have a knack for exaggerating the sport. Well since It's a card game I guess they have too to make it interesting. Good thing the exaggeration is not too much or else it would seem to corny which by the way I felt a little on this episode. In addition, I thought that the poems and the positions of the cards change per contest but it seems they don't, this could be dangerous because the game might get stale after a while. Also, I want them to be grown ups, I kinda hate overly long childhood flashbacks.

This anime will use kurata as a plot device to help characters discover about themselves like all sports anime does, but what sets this series apart is the lovely visuals and the loveable characters. I can forsee an engaging inner struggle from each character as well as some interesting love teams. This show is set for 25 episodes which is not overly long or too short, So far the last 2 episodes made me smile and I hope they continue to be consistent or even raise the bar, but I guess this series won't reinvent the genre but hopefully deliver an entertaining show till the end, or else its to the trash with you!

Overall mood while watching: Felt the strain of my neck when it was over
