My Thoughts
Ok so this was the first episode where nobody played Kurata, and it was still awesome! We get to see Arata's hometown and discover the reason for him hating the game which I kinda predicted on the previous episode and turns out I was right! Anyway, this series continues its constant love for cherry blossoms. We also get to know more about Ta-kun's feelings towards Chihaya which was kinda bittersweet. What I really like about this anime is its fast pace. It doesn't beat around the bush or drag on the angst instead if you have the problem ok lets go do it and resolve it in 1 or 2 episodes then onto the next plot twist! I like it very very much. Also, the bike part at the last of this episode, well cliched but nonetheless it still tugged my heartstrings. Never got this emotional since Honey and Clover and Anohana.
Overall, this was a nice episode that delivered regardless the exclusion of any Kurata matches. It just shows how powerful the cast is and Madhouse did a great job adapting the source material.
Overall mood while watching: Munching a bowl of pineapples then didn't realize the bowl was already empty.
